In class, we began finalizing our masthead. The masthead is essentially one of the most striking features of newspapers. Often the first thing we see, they are designed to catch our attention and communicate the newspaper's identity and attract readers.

My final masthead is shown below. I chose this exact one because I believe that it fits my magazine ideal as a whole. The mix of modernity, font size and type all gave the reader a sense of calmness and tranquility.

I used Canva to make this. I did this to see what my masthead would look like on a magazine page, even though it is not on my actual cover yet. I chose to go with black for the font color since it isn't too much and I wanna keep it simple, elegant and very modern. I will also use a bright photo to math the colors.

Moreover, to properly find the best masthead, I used KernType. KernType taught me about the spacing between letters, and how their position can greatly affect it as a whole. Down below is an example of my first three attempts on this website. I personally had a lot of fun while playing this small game.
