This class, we began learning about how to build a composite image and what they are composed of. Down below is my experience along with some examples of my own.

My experience was very good and bad at the same time. Beginning a composite image from having no experience was difficult, but the whole experience as a whole was fun and the end results came out great. Photoshop is a hard application to function when starting from zero. Photoshop for me gave me a very tough time when I began, but now I even use it in my own time for my own entertainment. Using different tools was also exhausting, but now I know how to do my own images.

Moreover, all of the images I used to create my own composite image were taken randomly from Google search.

I began by first using this picture of the stadium.

Then, I added the soccer player to the background doing the trick.

Then, the next step was to add the background rain.

After the rain, I added the lights and the cloud, which I then erased some of the cloud around the soccer player.

After that, I used the quick selection tool to add the bright light to the stadium final picture.

This composite image above is the one that we made as a class. It was very thrilling learning about making one and the fact that me and other students were on the same steps. This helped us all learn as a whole, instead of having to teach ourselves. Moreover, I used a variety of tools. Quick selection, Polygonal Lasso, layer masks, and different types of lighting are just some of the different tools I used to create the image.

For my first step, I began by researching the best image to have as a background. I chose this one since the wooden floor and different colored plants gave it a touch to it. The gray walls are visually pleasing to the viewer. I chose this type of gray since it represents neutrality and balance.

Then, I began by adding a chair and a closet on the side. This was my decision to make a room. Since the chair could not be moved or turned to an angle, I used the tool which let me put the chair over the closet, making the chair seem closer to the viewer. I used the quick selection tool to cut out both of these pieces from different images. Moreover, when having the quick selection tool, I learned that you can click "Select and Mask" and then "Show Edge", which lets you have an even more clear view on where to cut out the pieces, which was why these pictures do not seem cut out.

Afterwards, I decided to add a modern bed colored grey. I mainly selected this color since it was a close match to the background. I used the eyedropper tool, which when I hover over the wall, it gave me almost the same color as the bed and stand. Moreover, like the last step, I used the quick selection tool to perfectly cut out the image with the stand. I also chose this bed due to that it was at angle, which makes it seem as if the viewer is looking at this room from the front, and it is not just 2d.

For my last step, I added some touches to the color of the closet and the floor to make it a small bit lighter, like if a window was there. I also added a modern painting of a drawn eye, which was also cut into the picture with the quick selection tool.

This process was not as bad as it seems. When I started, I thought to myself about how I hated Photoshop and how complicated it is to function it, which now when looking back it is way simpler than what it seems. I used a variety of tools which I stated before. Polygonal Lasso, Quick selection, layer masks, and different lighting are just some of the tools.
