Double Page Spread Outline

In class we began constructing our ideas for our final double page spreads. A double page spread is about more than spreading writing across two pages; it is about crafting and presenting a text that is visually appealing for the reader.

My own double page article will be an interview to my dad, which has experience in interior design and architecture. He has a degree in architecture. My uncle, which lives and has proposed his house for photo-shooting, is also an interior designer. He will be my assistant along with my dad too, which will help me with the setup for pictures and the best angles possible. Down below is an image of my father.

Some of the questions I have planned beforehand, which I believe will be more than sufficient, were:

1. Can you tell me about your experience in interior design?

2. How do you approach a new project?

3. How do you incorporate a client's personal style into the design?

4. Can you show me some examples of your previous work?

5. How do you stay current with design trends and advancements?

6. What is your process for selecting colors, fabrics, and textures?

7. How do you balance functionality with aesthetics in your designs?

8. How do you work with a client's budget to create a design that meets their needs and expectations?

9. Can you provide references from previous clients?

10. How do you handle unexpected design challenges or changes during a project?

To effectively reach a target audience for interior design, it's important to understand who that audience is and where they can be found. One way to identify your target audience is by outlining everyones demographics, lifestyle, interests, and pain points. I have already done this by surveying various people.

Once i have a clear picture of who my ideal customer is, i will then focus on creating it. Ultimately, by outreaching to my specific target audience, I can probably increase the likelihood of attracting and converting potential clients into loyal customers.

I believe that typically, interior design magazines feature a variety of interior design styles that are designed by professional interior designers, architects, and other design experts. Lastly, I believe that my main focus is to show other interior designers better and more innovative ideas to improve their own.
