In class, we began learning about how to create our own shot list. A shot list is a document that maps out exactly what will occur and what will be used in that particular shot, or scene, of the film. It serves as a detailed checklist that gives the video a sense of direction and prepares the crew for film expectations.
Down below is my example of my own shot list. I took my own time to show the best 10 pictures I will be including in my magazine.

I will be removing a lot of things from this room, though it is the same idea and angle I will take it at. I have the same idea as the last picture, which is closing the blinds to make the fake light shine more. Moreover, I will take out the electric scooter which is unfocusing the viewers attention, along with some of the smaller pieces of furniture on top of the wardrobe. Apart from that, I will most likely use the same long-shot and wider lens, to include everything in the frame. Very bright room showing a pink bed design; directed towards a female audience. The design is very modern, with marbled floors, designer pillows, and nice lights. This shot shows a mid-shot type, which includes everything in the frame. Also, it could be seen as a long-shot when looking at the background too. This is shot number 1.

This picture is almost exactly like how I want it, just at a straight angle and mid-shot. The picture will then delete the chair and not show the door with the cables in the back, just the bed, the two nightstands, and the lighter gray wall behind it, which will intensify the picture. Also, I might add or take out pillows, depending on how it looks like. This is shot number 2.

This drawing is not one of my best, but I own a painting that is very modern and has a variety of colors. as the description says, it will be a mid-shot of this painting that will allow it to show the smaller details of it. The painting describes a heart which newspaper pieces, and bright and fearful colors, like red and a darker green. This will be in one of my final pictures because it is very simplistic and looks very nice. This is shot number 3.

The image above shows a split-diopter, showing the vintage camera and compass. Having two pieces in focus with the blurred background can focus the viewer on the actual piece of furniture, with it also bright, making it look even better. Also, the ocean view is very nice and pleasing, making it feel like the person is in a Miami, beach place. This is shot number 4.

For this picture, I have already took one of these, but it was at an about 30 degree angle which included the unwanted side views. Taking it from the front will allow the viewer to see only the lights. This is shot number 5.

This is personally one of my favorites, but imposes the same issue as two of the others; the lighting. The lighting messes up the panting, creates a shadow on the marbled floor and on the TV. Moreover, this angle allows me to show the full living room and every single detail within it. I will edit it so that the door frame will not show, too. This is shot number 6.

This is not one of my most favorites, but the angle favors everything in this picture. Again, closing the curtains will take out all shadows and expose the synthetic light even more. Also, cutting our the door frame on the left and the corner island with the chairs will make this picture look a bit better. This is shot number 7.

These are the lights I was speaking about in the pictures before this. I will use this picture because it shows the lights good and has barely any shadows that ruin the picture. This here shows shallow focus, with the lights in focus and the living room blurred out. I personally like this picture. This is shot number 8.

I personally think that this one is one of the worst out of the ten I mentioned, but it is still pretty good. There is some shadow of the light on the countertop, and the focus is shallow. Lastly, I will remove the corner of the plant too. This is shot number 9.

This image is almost the exact same of how I want to use it, with one massive touch that changes the whole lighting of it. Closing the blinds in the back will permanently remove the shining on the floor, the shadows of the nightstand, and let the synthetic light brighter and create a better mood of the picture. This is shot number 10.
In conclusion, shot lists are important in film production because they provide a clear and organized plan for the filming process. They help the director and cinematographer communicate their vision to the rest of the crew and ensure that all necessary shots are captured. Shot lists also help with time management by ensuring that each shot is planned and executed efficiently.
